Helicopter Twirls Wildly into Palm Fronds at Popular California Shoreline
An aircraft hovering near a popular coastal beach suddenly began spiraling uncontrollably, ultimately dropping height and plunging into a cluster of palm trees as beachgoers looked on.
Videos posted on the internet capture the chopper beginning to twirl over the shoreline then plunging in the direction of the perimeter of the beach, where it ends up lodged amidst palms and a staircase near the coastal road.
First Aid Details
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five individuals were rushed to the hospital comprising two who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” following the incident on Saturday.
Three individuals on the pavement were harmed. Details on their condition were still under review.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
